Profit opportunity makes Bentley return to SUV

Wolfgang Dürheimer, Bentley director, decided to come back to the planning SUV model line, as the previous year of 2011 made a budget surplus. He said they would be working to expand their model line, and one of the possible branches is SUV-constructing.

New SUV model is almost started

This model was announced earlier, but because of the budget loss of previous three years this plan was postponed. Now the model is decided to go into development. The main parts of it will be taken from Porsche Cayenne, the first project of Dürheimer. Moreover, Bentley announced their plans on producing new sports-car series of two-door coupes, which surely will be competing with Aston Martin analogues. According to the official data, during 2011 about 7,000 Bentley cars were sold. The main market still remains the USA, the second is China and European countries come next.
